This year, the Healthpack conference was held at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee.  It was yet another fine and informative Healthpack experience.  The turnout to this year’s event was approximately 300 people.  There were also 45 exhibiters this year, including Westpak™.  The topics that were presented were educational and beneficial to professionals in all medical device industries, and the entire event was also ideal for networking.  The seminar portion of the conference consisted of fifteen presentations throughout two days.  There was a good range of presentations (picking the right materials, using efficient equipment, discussing patent/design issues, studying standards and new test methods, receiving feedback from the end users of the package systems, etc).
                                                                                                        
One of the enjoyable events at Healthpack included a tour of the FedEx Main Distribution Hub.  The FedEx facility was certainly a sight to see.  The grand scale of everything is amazing, and the tour was during the day (the hub is twice as busy during the night).
